The NNMN is also celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Since inception in 2010, the VTE NNMN has provided support to nurses, midwives and allied health professionals working in VTE prevention and anticoagulation.  It is a dynamic network driven by the passion of its members to strive for the highest standards of care.

Nurses and midwives have worked as part of multi-professional teams that have enabled a VTE prevention revolution over the last decade in England.  The next decade will build on that success to ensure that the highest standards in VTE prevention care are commonplace to ensure preventable VTE is a thing of the past.
