GIRFT Thrombosis Survey Extended

Vte news main girft launch

The GIRFT Thrombosis survey represents a unique opportunity to capture national data in relation to the increase in VTE associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.  The survey has been extended to include April and May 2020.  No further data entry for part 1 (organisational) or part 2 (VTE prevention) is required.  Participants are encouraged to complete part 3, the HAT data for April and May.  The GIRFT Thrombosis portal will remain open for data entry until 31st August 2020 for this purpose.  Unfortunately, it will not be possible to extend the data entry period beyond this date.
